“OMG Becky, did you see her but?”. I am sure that you have heard people taking offense to something. Usually this is because of what someone else said or the way someone else believes. No doubt each one of you have had an experience where someone was offended by you, possibly even by the way you look.
Ironically some people enjoy taking offense at other people. What comes to mind is the dogmatic PC culture that permeates the United States. Race-baiters who constantly look for ways to label someone of another race, “racist”. Then we have the sex-baiters looking to label someone as sexist! Not to mention other low lives looking to label someone because they do not agree with them. They use terms like chauvinistic, homophobic, misogynistic and tons of other terminologies to create straw-man arguments. The list goes on and on but the real question is, How in the world do we live with these kinds of people?
Diving deeper into this subject we have religions organizations who do the same thing on a grander scale. They label people that do not belong to their organizations as “outsiders”, “worldly” and so on. Some of these disgusting organization even think that God himself is going to kill off the rest of the world while members of their organization are going to live in wonderful bliss eternally. I know you may find this hard to believe because of the way I raised you but is it very true.
Remember that these people and organizations have one thing in mind and one thing only, they want to bring you DOWN to their level. I use the term DOWN because you have been taught an elevated belief. You never thought that you were better than anyone else and in turn you never thought that anyone was better than you. It is my goal as your father for you to keep this belief so that you are never misled by the theatrics of the drama queens and PC culture that surrounds us.
The taking of offense lies in the heart of stupid people because they are quick to get angry with no cause. Check out Ecclesiastes 7:9 in the Bible, “Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger rests in the bosom of fools.”.
This is incongruous and so turned around from today’s world is it not? People look like mad men and women coming at you when in reality there is nothing to be mad about at all.
As we age we lose our filter and I know that I am losing mine. The older I get the more I do not care if I offend or if I don’t. I expect other people to give me the same respect that I give them and if they do not give me that respect then they simply are not worth a thought in my mind. I will not spend time worrying about offending every little snowflake that falls from this PC culture. I hope that it phases out soon because I know there are a lot more people like me that are simply tired of these kinds of theatrics.
Be sincere, love with all your heart and remember you are loved.
